Dengfeng No.2 Refractories Co; Ltd, originated Dengfeng No.2 Refractories general factory in 1969, is located in Henan Province, central China, southeast 30km away from the China Shaolin Temple ( this temple is called Chinese Gongfu origin ) at the foot of Songshan Mountain, where the several highways crossed together. With convenient transportation、developed communication and rich mineral materials, especially high quality crystalline quartzite and bauxite ore, the company has developed a well corporation, integrating refractories’ R & D, manufacture and engineering service. As main one of the export bases of super silica bricks, the company has been rewarded as the first grade enterprise in Henan Province, the credible enterprise of China.

The company holds employees of 1100 and all kinds of professional technician of 380, including 20 senior engineers, 79 engineers, workshop areas of 237800 ㎡ and fixed assets of 120 million RMB (equivalent ＄17 million ). Its main facilities include 3 tunnel kilns with length of 200m each, coal-gas station with 3 gasification stoves, 40 tunnel dry kilns, 42 presses with the pressure from 160 to 1000 Mt and accessory mixing and grinding equipments. The annual output of super high quality shaped silica and high alumina refactories reach to 80,000 Mt, monolithic refractories 20,000Mt. Affiliated by a refractories research institute and a quality inspection center, with strong technical force, advanced technology and test devices, the company has been authorized by Henan University of Science and Technology as its research, training and testing base on Refractories

For years, the company has been persisting the way of blossoming itself relaying on science and technology, successively cooperating with several universities and research institutes, including Sinosteel (Luoyang) Refractories Research Institute, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Beijing Science and Technology University and Henan Metallurgical Research Institute, to develop fresh products in time according to market demand, including high-medium grade refractories for coking and iron-steel industries. In recent years, our 9 series of refracrories and 25 varieties of products have been in succession awarded by the state, ministry, provincial and city governments. The low creep mullite-corundum bricks of the company were firstly developed in China and have been used in Wuhan Iron and Steel Group, gaining well effectiveness, replacing import from Japan. We are also the first factory to manufacture S15 acid-proof refractory bricks which had replaced products of the same kind from Germany when used in the acid-regeneration stoves at Baosteel, Ansteel, Wuhan Iron-steel and Pansteel. The G-D brand of coke oven silica bricks had won the State Prize of New Product and all properties achieved an advanced international level. A complete set of silica bricks for large-scale coke oven battery had been successfully provided to Panzhihua Steel(Pansteel) and Wuhan Iron and Steel. Till now, these COBs have been running well. At the same time, our products, through Baosteel international trade company and other exporters, have gone into America, India, Brazil, Japan and other regions.
